Terms & Conditions 2010
1) Appointments / Consultation
Initial consultation regarding our services to you & written quotations are offered without charge at our premises within normal working hours, 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
Subsequent meetings or venue / home appointments are charged at a rate of £25.00 per hour. At all Times.
All Bookings are subject to a site survey if required (After a deposit has been paid)
On acceptance of Menu & Quotes a signed copy of both the quote and the Terms & Conditions must be returned to Food For Thought along with the relevant deposit of 25% to secure your booking.
On receipt of your quotation, we require a signed copy of your quotation and Terms and conditions within 10 days, with your deposit to confirm your booking, if we have not received your confirmation by this date we will have to release your booking and your date may no longer be available and prices quoted may be subject to change.
We have the right to change or replace any item of food that becomes unavailable or is out of season with a suitable alternative. You will be consulted of any changes to the menu in advance.
2) Payment Terms
25% Deposit to Confirm Booking our services.(non refundable)
50% 10 Weeks Before function date.
10% Contingency Charge
25% Final balance due on day of Function.
If you book & confirm within the timescales above the relevant Payment terms apply.
This can be made by personal cheque with appropriate guarantee card, business cheque, bankers draft, cash or online.
All served functions are subject to V.A.T @ 17.5%.
The final guaranteed number of guests must be confirmed 7 days before the event. We will then send you out a final invoice for the balance, less the 75% & 10% Contingency Charge already paid.
A contingency charge of 10% will be added to your invoice for breakages and staff overtime if applicable, we will refund any money owed to you 3 days after the function date.
3) Drinks on Served functions only
We do not charge Corkage on serving your own drinks.
We supply bar staff to serve your own drinks if required, please see staff and hire charges.
4) Hire Equipment
We will supply the hire to the client.
Any item that is provided or on hire for the function, that is lost or broken by the client or their guests will be charged for at the full replacement cost.
We will be responsible for the replacement cost of any items broken by our staff and we will notify you of this at the end of the function.
The client must confirm their order with Food For Thought & adhere to our Terms & Conditions.
Bookings are only confirmed once a deposit of 25% is paid.
5) Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing to Food For Thought.
Cancellation charges below.
Up to 10 days before the function:100%.
11days - 30 days: 75%
30 days + : 50%
We do not accept any liability for non-completion of the event or for delays resulting from adverse weather conditions, traffic accident or road closure, civil riots or strikes affecting the trade, fire, flood or other natural disaster, acts of terrorism, or for any other event, which is beyond our reasonable control.
This agreement shall be governed by English law and subject to the sole jurisdiction of the English courts.
